India[edit]

Rush opened to a very poor opening mainly due to the delay of the film from around one year and also was badly affected due to lack of promotion. Then, the film was postponed from 24 to 26 October as a lot of films were released around the same time and the emergence of successful run of Karan Johar's affected the film's collections severely. Lack of time for promotion is also one reason. The death of Shamin Desai also affected film's response and delayed it for a lot of time, which was later completed.

Rush opened on Friday to around 10%–15% collections all over and collected around 6 million net. Though the opening of the film was awful, but film did show 20% growth on Saturday and Sunday with collections of 70 and 9.5 million respectively, but with such an awful opening, there was practically no chance for the film. At the end of the first week, Rush collected Rs. 32.1 million. The film was out of most of the cinemas due to the release of JTHJ and SOS. The film was declared a Disaster at the box-office at the first run itself.
